About Us
Welcome to Purple Feather Designs
A little about why I chose the name, Purple Feather Designs...
My Memaw passed away on Halloween 2016. This was exactly 1 year before my first child, Allison Blaire's due date. Allie ended up being born on my Mom's birthday instead (Memaw is my mom's Mother). I truly believe that Allie was a gift sent to us from my Memaw in heaven so that each year it would be a time of celebration and not grieving ♥. She was always the most positive person I knew, and she never had a negative thing to say about anything or anyone. Memaw's absolute favorite color was purple, and everyone that knew her knew that! In order to pay a tribute to my Memaw, I wanted to use her favorite color in the title of our business. Memaw is definitely an angel in heaven to our family and to many others. By fate's chance, when she passed away she left me her personal jewelry making kit, which I used to make my very first pair of earrings!
So from the bottom of my heart, thank you! I really hope you, or the person you gift our jewelry to, enjoys them as much as I enjoy making them!

About the Owner
Hi! My name is Brittany Freeman, wife to my best friend since middle school Brian Freeman and mother to Allison Blaire. I also have a spunky husky, named Noah. We live in Kernersville, NC currently but are originally from Mount Holly, NC. I had a wonderful career in Human Resources for a few years, and then I had my firstborn and have chosen to take some time off from work to be at home with her. Being a mom has really become my greatest accomplishment. Aside from being a mom, I have a passion for creativity and a keen interest for (affordable, quality) jewelry. I have a great group of friends, including my sister, who also have daughters of their own. They have supported me in my journey with Purple Feather Designs and in every day life, in general. For this reason, I have named my earring collections after each of their daughters'. I am so grateful for the wonderful people in my life and for this opportunity to utilize my creativity.
